Leftover egg-mayo filling from yesterday's sandwich box order, for today's breakfast 🥪
Thank u so much Ma'am for the repeat order 💕
And of coz the other sandwiches are for the boys & 🤩
Not forgetting a glass of as coffee substitute. I still do take coffee but not as much as before, per day. It's like gaining a new body, and learn to listen to it once hit Level 40 🙄

Cerita last year.. my 1st time full swing octopusing Kek Lapis from JPL Kitchen.. what's with strict MCO lagi.. not familiar with bakery ingredients shops lagi.. prices and all..

Alhamdulillah, Allah made it easy for me.. most of the shops they do home-delivery, or I can just forward them my list & collect later in the evening.. baru lah tau, banyak nau bakery ingredients shops tumbuh kat Kch 🤭
So cerita tahun ni.. resume back to melapis & baking di Selangor ni.. so kepada yang setahun lebih tak merasa , dah boleh buat tempahan yer.. don't worry.. In Shaa Allah , I will be here for Ramadhan.. so sempatlah nak order for coming Syawal 1442H nanti 💘

I will update more on the tempahan Syawal later, k. Ni just to get the groove go & flo 😘

Have you ever cut out carbs from your diet....?

Thinking...... carbs are bad? Carbs are unhealthy? Carbs will make me gain weight?

I have. And the results were....
- Constantly hungry. Felt tired. Harder to concentrate. No energy. Didn't feel satisfied after eating. Constantly craves sweet food and chocolate. Would eat lots of vegetables and protein rich food but never quite feel satisfied.... full, but still wanted more. Overeating and binges.

You know what helped? Actually eating more carbohydrates. Both in the form of grains, legumes and starchy root vegetables. But also ALLOWING myself to eat white bread, white pasta, chocolate etc🍫🍪

Carbohydrates - and glucose - are the primary form or energy for our cells. 🌱💪

Many foods that contain carbs, also contain different nutrients and minerals such as iron, zinc, magnesium, folate, b vitamins as well as C vitamin from fruits and veggies. They also provide fiber and antixoidants. 🌱🌱🥣🍜

There are of course carb rich foods such as candy, sugared soda, different desserts which may not provide as much nutrition. But does that mean you have to completely cut them out? No. They can be part of your diet, but maybe not your *whole* diet if you're aiming for a well balanced nutritious intake.

If you're thinking about cutting our carbs, ask yourself why? Instead maybe focus on the quality of foods you are eating and choosing more complex carbs (example wholegrains, legumes, grains, vegetables and root vegetables, fruit and berries) to provide your body and mind with the right energy 💜

I have a post all about carbs coming up. But in the mean time, check out my stories to see more when I talk about BREAD ...... because unfortunately bread has gotten a bad rep. When in all honesty, it can be such a great food to add to your diet and makes for a great and easy meal!

Even tho some requested 's meal plan to be 'less carb more protein' .. yes, i can reduce the carb's portion (complex carb : which I had already reduced by 1/2 actually), but i could not increase the amount of protein..well, honestly, most of the time, I'll just close an eye and add extra, coz I understand the 'not fulfilling feeling' 😓 .. but then again, it won't be 'the right healthy portion' meal, rite?
