Malaysia is a country blessed with a wonderful blend of cultures. The rich culture of Peranakan has inspired the weekenders to reinvent the delicate,colourful and flavourful Nyonya kuih. The Weekenders is excited to share the next unique dessert,Tako cake.

Tako Cake: Soft and moist pandan genoise cake layered with kuih tako. The creamy coconut milk, pandan juice and neutral flavour of the fresh water chestnut in kuih tako balances each other perfectly well. The crunchiness from the water chestnut will definitely bring your sensory experience to the next level.

Happy Malaysia day, to our homeland!!Wishing our nation peace, stability and love! No matter where life takes you, home will always be where the heart is. Malaysia will always have a special place in every Malaysian's heart.

In conjunction with Malaysia day, the weekenders has been working extra hard to come out with cakes that symbolise Malaysia. AIS KACANG and KUIH are common but special delicacies that are in an everyday Malaysian diet. The team has innovated and reinvented these delicacies into a different presentation while keeping the essence of heritage and authenticity. We promise these cakes would draw warm childhood memories when consumed.

At our pastime, we explored into a different type of sweet treat and would like to share our heart-warming dessert “Mochichi Kinako”.

Profoundly attached to Japan's social legacy, mochi is a traditional food in Japanese culture that has been around for centuries. And today, mochi is offered from one side of the planet to the other and in different forms.

“Mochichi Kinako” is a soft-stretchy-chewy filling ball topped with deliciously nutty Kinako that compliments well with mochi. Come indulge in our freshly made mochi with special black sauce.

What's more exciting is that this QQ texture bite size mochi comes in different flavours as well.

Baked by The Weekenders inspired by My Parents.

My Parents have given me so much exposure to Food when I was young and of course, my mom is a good baker. *Definitely missing them right now* As we are growing up, we often forget that they are also growing older. So, I would like take the opportunity to share my journey in baking on this special occasion.

By choosing Parents' day for the debut, I hope to bring joy and sweetness to you and your family. I don't wish to just 'produce' cake but together let's us create the right flavour to treat you and your loved ones.
