Let’s talk sourdough – because not every loaf labeled "sourdough" deserves a spot on your table. 🍞

I’ve put together a simple checklist to help you spot the real deal vs. the fake stuff. Save this for your next grocery run or bakery visit!

✅ GOOD sourdough should have:

· A beautiful natural smell
· Great taste, soft satisfying chew
· Light crust (not hard as a rock)
· Sourness that comes after you finish eating
· Normal bread look – no chemical additives
· Steady energy, no mid-day crash
· You can eat it plain and still want more

❌ Stay away from sourdough that has:

· Hard, painful crust
· Immediate sour taste with no aroma
· Giant holes (less bread, more air)
· Shiny, weird crumbs
· Low energy / bloated feeling after
· You can't finish a second slice no matter how hard you try
· You need to add butter, jam, or cheese just to make it edible

Real sourdough is naturally fermented, organic, and honestly addictive in the best way. 😋
