And this is where our story comes to a close. โค๏ธ

Today, we baked our last pies, welcomed our last customers, and closed the doors to Stand Pie Me.

What started as a small venture from a kitchen in Parklane OUG grew through Taman Kinrara and eventually into our cafe at Millennium Square, PJ.

Along the way, we watched our Pie-fectionists learn, grow, build confidence, make friends and find their place in the world of work. They gave Stand Pie Me its heart, its character and, of course, its pies.

To our Pie-fectionists โ€” thank you for everything. We are so proud of how far you have come.

To our families, partners, volunteers, supporters and every pie-friend who stood by us โ€” thank you for every order, every visit, every share, every kind word and every bit of encouragement.

You stood behind a purpose. You believed in our people. You became part of our story.

Today, this chapter ends with one last pie.

And our Pie-fectionists are signing off.

2026 gave us plenty to celebrate.

We gave our website a fresh new look, teamed up with Value Food to give our unsold pies a second chance instead of letting them go to waste, and joined the excitement of the FIFA World Cup with a month of special promotions.

We also received so much love, support and exposure from our pie-friends. Every visit, order, share, message and kind word reminded us how far Stand Pie Me had come.

But behind the scenes, we were also facing challenges of our own.

After years of baking, learning, growing and building a community together, we reached a point where we had to make a difficult decision โ€” ๐ญ๐จ ๐œ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฌ๐ž ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ž ๐Œ๐ž.

It was not an easy decision. But as we look back, we choose to focus on everything we were able to build, everyone we met, and every little moment that made this journey worth it.

You were part of so many of those moments, and we can't thank you enough.

By 2025, Stand Pie Me had grown into more than just pies.

We started the year by expanding our festive bakes, launching our very first cookie line with Ong Ong Lai Lai Pineapple Tarts and Berry Berry Huat Cranberry Almond Butter Cookies.

April brought something close to our hearts โ€” our first ๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ฅ๐ ๐€๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ, sharing stories and perspectives from the eyes of our Pie-fectionists and helping our community better understand what it means to work alongside people on the autism spectrum.

We celebrated mums with a Mother's Day contest, giving away 10 large pies, welcomed visitors and new friends including One-Two-Boost and Brain Connection, and took our celebrations online with our Merdeka + Malaysia Day promotion.

Through every new initiative, every visitor, every campaign and every conversation, we continued to discover new ways to connect with our community.

2024 started with a little bit of fun โ€” and a whole lot of โ€˜Ong Laiโ€™! Our XXL Ong Lai Tarts made their appearance for Chinese New Year, giving our favourite pineapple tarts a supersized twist.

But that wasn't the biggest change of the year.

After 2 years in Puchong, we said goodbye and moved to Millennium Square, Petaling Jaya, where Stand Pie Me Cafe officially opened its doors.ย 

It wasn't just a new address. It was a new beginning for our Pie-fectionists.

For the first time, our team had a space where they could meet, mingle and interact with our customers, while continuing to learn, grow and build confidence in a real cafe environment.

And to make our new home truly ours, we brought our story to the walls. Our journey was beautifully captured in a mural by Amanda Vashti, giving everyone who walked through our doors a glimpse of where we came from and what Stand Pie Me stood for.

After finding a new home with the help of our pie-friends in 2022, 2023 became a year for us to ๐ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐›๐š๐œ๐ค and share the pie-love.

Through Pie It Forward with Sokong of Malaysiakini, we raised RM2,000 to bake 300 pies for underprivileged children.

We also teamed up with Sunway Student Volunteers (SSV) for the โ€œTake a Stand with Piesโ€ x Shoebox Christmas Donation Drive. Together, we raised over RM5,000 and baked 842 pies of joy, reaching underprivileged individuals across 21 homes and centres.

And as our pie family grew, so did our team. 2023 was also the year we welcomed our official Pie-Coordinator, JC, who kept our group buys rolling and helped make sure the pies got where they needed to go.

And when Christmas came around, we added a little more joy to the celebrations with our Christmas Cranberry Apple Crumble Family Pie. Each family-sized pie came with a cute Christmas stocking, because we believe sharing is always sweeter.

That year, we learnt that a pie can do more than fill a tummy. It can bring a little comfort, a little joy, and a reminder that someone cares.

And that was exactly what we wanted to keep baking.

2022 was one of the toughest chapters in our journey.

After five years at Parklane OUG, a significant increase in rent meant we had to leave the place we had called home. We needed a new home for our Pie-fectionists, and we needed help getting there.

So, we turned to our pie-friends.

We launched a limited-edition Chicken & Mushroom Pie and Apple Crumble, both in Family Size and packed in an exclusive Stand Pie Me canvas bag.

And our community showed up.

Together, our pie-friends helped us raise over RM58,000. With their support, we found a new home in ๐“๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐Š๐ข๐ง๐ซ๐š๐ซ๐š, moved in, and got back to doing what we loved โ€” baking pies.

That year alone, our team baked 190+ Family-Sized Pies, made possible by a community that believed in what we were building.

2021 was a year that tested all of us.

As the Movement Control Order continued, our Chairman, Sarjit, guided our team of young adults with special needs through uncertain times. Together, we kept our kitchen going, fulfilled more orders, and discovered just how much we could achieve as a team.

As our orders grew, our Pie-fectionists rose to the challenge. They took ownership of more tasks, supported one another, and helped our kitchen reach a level of productivity we once thought was beyond our reach. Watching them flourish became one of our proudest achievements.

Every customer reminded us that our journey mattered, and every order gave our team another opportunity to learn, contribute, and shine.

This was also the year we welcomed a new member to the Stand Pie Me family โ€” ๐‡๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข, our very first mascot, bringing smiles and a little extra joy wherever we went.

Every journey has a beginning.

Before Stand Pie Me came to life, the journey began with a vision under Persatuan Stand, to create a supportive environment where young adults with special needs could develop their skills, nurture their talents, build confidence, and discover meaningful employment opportunities.

In September 2020, the vision took a new form. ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ž ๐Œ๐ž was officially born, and from our humble kitchen at Parklane OUG, we ventured into online pie sales. What started as a new name soon became a place filled with purpose, friendships, opportunities, and of course... lots of pies.

Looking back, it's amazing to see how far we've come!
