Done and dusted ππ» Over the weekend, 2.0 took place and what an apt time as it was also World Baking Day.
When I signed up for the first Cake Piknik a few months ago, my main goal was to connect with my fellow bakers and be part of a community with like-minded individuals who understand the struggles of solopreneurship.
While I missed the intimacy of our little gathering before, I am also so happy to witness how this event has grown to become one of the most anticipated ones on our calendar. From 25 to 200++ participants, things definitely escalated quickly π Hats off to the organisers for putting this event together π«‘
To see all the bakers and their creations in person, that was THE icing on my cake πWhere once you only get to admire their work from your tiny screen, now you get to see (and taste!) the very best that they have to offer up close and personal. What a treat it was!
This round I made an orange cake with honey chamomile custardβbecause, why not? π For me, events such as this is a great chance to get creative and go outside of your comfort zones, be it with your flavours pairing, designing skills, or even just doing something out of the norm in your routine like baking. My respect to all who took the time to put your best effort forward and show up. Y'all are super stars β¨
If the planets are aligned, I hope to meet more of you at the next one π
