First post of 2026 and it’s a special one!

I’ve been wanting to make this cake for the longesttt time. I’ve made Boston cream pie many many years ago once but I wasn’t super crazy about it. Last year, I saw a few recipes circulating online for Boston *banana* cream pie and I knew I had to make it. And just my luck birthday girl here happens to lovee banana. So here’s my take on the cake!

Two layers of moist chocolate cake, with the dreamiest banana custard in the centre and topping it off with chocolate ganache. It’s basically magic in a cake 🍌✨ And it has the prettiest cross section too!!! I am obsessed. Will be dreaming about this cake for the next 5-7 business days.

Should I add this flavour to our menu? 👀

Gabby Dollhouse cake for the sweetest little girl 💓

My fav part of the cake is of course the surprise sprinklessss! And not to toot my own horns but the cross section of this cake is possibly my fav cross section ever. Look at how fluffyyyy our vanilla cake looks!! If you’re not sure of what flavour to order for your custom cake, now you know 🤗

I call this the “Yaya’s Special Dirty Matcha Cake” … yeah the name could be shorter.

I’ve been wanting to experiment with a matcha cake recipe but never had a good reason to because nobody else in the house likes matcha, until this celebration comes along!

One thing about Yaya is she loves her coffee & matcha. So combine those two and we’ll get ☕️dirty matcha🍵 Turning that into a cake is easyyy because I already have a bomb coffee ganache recipe, so all I have to experiment with is the matcha sponge (if you’re curious the cake texture was perfect but I’d like the matcha to be stronger.. oh well next time).

Now the deco is where I had the most fun! I typically play with more colours but this time I played with texture upon texture and kept the colours very minimal. Gotta say I LOVEEE the final result!!! 🍃

Before you ask, no I will not add matcha cake to my list of flavours available bvs matcha is wayyy too expensive now. But if you ask nicely in the comment I’ll be happy to share the recipe 🤗 Okay end of rant byeeee!!

🦖 DINOSAUR CAKE 🦕

Asked you guys to guess the theme of the cake and aren’t you a bunch of smarties!? 🙂‍↔️ I had the most fun decorating this cake bcs my son offered to help with the decoration - instructing me where to put the triceratop, the brachiosaurus, the “sand” crumbles, the candle.. yeah he’s taking over this business soon I’m retiring 🤪

Cake details: 6” vanilla bean cake with our homemade lemon curd filling (that is just HEAVENLYYY. If you’ve never tried it you are seriously missing out) and Swiss meringue buttercream as always!

Ps, this was delivered all the way to Sungai Petanj. Yes we cover all the way to SP too!! With delivery charge ofc hehe

Shared this in our story few days back and soo many of you asked if this is for sale 🤣 Sadly it’s not BUT good news is it it’s suuuper easy to make! Recipe here 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

(Better than Texas Chicken)
✨HONEY BUTTER BISCUITS✨
Biscuit:
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
110g cold butter (cut into cubes)
1 cup buttermilk (1 cup milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)

Honey butter:
100g butter (melted)
40-80g honey (depends on how sweet you want it to be)

Steps:
1. Sift and mix all dry ingredients together.
2. Add butter into dry ingredients and mix by hand until you get wet sand texture.
3. Slowly add in buttermilk and mix until everything is incorporated.
4. Scoop mixture with ice cream scoop for a more uniform shape onto baking tray. You should get around 12-15 biscuits depending on each individual size.
5. Brush honey butter mixture on each biscuit.
6. Bake at 200C (preheat your oven first!) for 15-18 minutes, depending on your oven.
7. At this point your house will smell divine and you can enjoy your warm biscuits!

But her, if you’re lazy to make this, you can ask me nicely to bake them and I might just give them away for free again for this week’s bake sale 😜

You have been waiting for this MATCHAMISU IS BACK! 🍵🍃

I first made this yearssss ago when I knew *nothing* about matcha, but I’m happy to say I know better now 😂 It’s light, it’s sweet, it’s butter, it has that umami aftertaste that you get from a good matcha.. It’s basically a dream in a cup.

Matcha girlies, are you ready for this?! They’ll be here this weekendddd 🤗

When you’re the baker in the friend group and get to spoil them with your (amazing) cakes 😗✌🏼

So happy with how this turned out!! Usually when I pass over my cakes to customers I don’t get to see their immediate reaction after trying the cake, but this time I got to hear all seven of my friends telling me “so good “oh my goddd” “if you were in Selayang I would order this” “can you bake this for [my husband’s] birthday?” Boosted my ego fr.. I mean confidence 🙂‍↔️

So, if you’re going to a party/gathering/open house/date/etc and wanna bring something that is for sure to have everyone raving about it, Butter Cakery is your girl!!! 🙋🏽‍♀️
