For me, a cheesecake should taste like... CHEESECAKE 🧀❤️

I know - sounds obvious isn't ?😂
But after tasting quite a few cheesecakes, I realised that creamy doesn't always mean cheesecake for me 😁

I personally love a cheesecake with a distinctive cream-cheese flavour - rich and creamy, but with that little tang that makes you want another bite.
Not overly sweet. Not just milky and creamy.
And definitely not a cake where the cream cheese gets lost somewhere in the background.

Because to me…
If I'm eating cheesecake, I want to taste the CHEESE ❤️

That's why, for me choosing the right creamcheese for the cheesecake I like to indulge is important. Yup! me bake cheesecakes too!! 😁 but limited flavors because it's not my forte, invloved lots of money if nak buat R&D selalu 😝 but these two products were successfully tested & tasted - vanilla baked cheesecake & burnt cheesecake. "Tak buat kek buah pakai mix fruit yang da ceri2 tu?" -
My sister asked me that question yesterday bcos out of sudden she felt like to eat fruit cake.. i told her the one i have made not the traditional steamed fruit cake (becoz i don't like it 😝) but instead mine lebih kepada arwah mak punya kek buah gula melaka (baked)...and for the dried fruits selection - black raisins, apricot chunks & cranberries (these three i chose to give more flavor for my cake - so adalah rasa ala2 caramel & tartness dari raisins, sweet sour dari cranberry & tangy dari apricot).

If using that Malaysian fruit mix in this gula melaka memang tak ummphh! why? sebab fruit mix tu hanya ada rasa manis satu hala yang tak boleh nak digandingkan dengan rasa kek yang mempunyai rasa buttery molasses/caramel. Tukang buat keknya pulak memang tak s**a kalau makan hanya ada satu rasa = manis. Perlu balance hehehee 😁

Kek gula melaka ni memang tak guna campuran gula caster atau gula perang dan lain2 - 100% pure & filtered gula melaka.. so sedap??. sedap sangat even tak da buah 😋😋 ada rasa yang tersendiri.. boleh rasa butter, lemak2 gula melaka..

Tapi .. yes tapi!! 😝 untuk tidak menghampakan permintaan nak guna buah campuran biasa yg diguna dalam kek kukus tu, maka terjadilah sebiji kek yang di order tu. Verdict - Yup!! i will stick to my dried fruits selection raisins, apricot & cranberry 😁 mix fruit biasa untuk kek buah kukus tu memang sesuai untuk kek buah kukus sebab normally kek buah kukus ni ada spices kan.. so spices tu yg membuatkan rasa kek buah lebih ummph not the mix fruits semata ( i don't know how to put it in words, tapi tu lah 😅)

Made this chicken pesto pasta few days ago!!
My nephew love it so much and asked to have this pasta as his lunchbox to school the next day. Hujung-hujung dia tak sekolah pun!! makan lunchbox kat rumah 😅

Lama tak makan pesto pasta .. nak cari the previous homemade pesto bought kat shopee kedai tu macam dah tak wujud pulak 😅 sedap tp tu lah x jumpa dah.. untuk hilang craving beli lah pesto kat pasaraya 😅 boleh lah.. nak buat sendiri pesto memang tidak lah hahahahhaha

Kat Pasir Gudang cafe mcm takda or me x jumpa yg ada pesto pasta ni... paling2 kena pergi cbtl to have their chicken pesto.

I miss you so much.
You were my favourite customer 😂 .. every year, I always made sure you got your birthday cake! As for the flavour? You never really cared, it was always up to me and the rest of us hahahaha 😂

Your 70th birthday cake was the one that i still love to look back - I love this moment so much because you're e wearing an almost identical colour shirt same as the cake 😁❤️.. and because the cake was special too!!

A 5-layer cake consisting of 3 layers of orange cake and 2 giant coffee butter cookies. Each layer was filled with chocolate cream cheese and frosted with my signature buttercream. It was soooo delish!!! 😋😋

Anyway, even though you're no longer here, I just want you to know that I'm doing great and I'm doing just fine.Just missing you and Mak so, so much.
