Stingray in Spicy Asam Pedas Sauce Recipe
Looking for a dish that packs a flavorful punch? Try this "Stingray in Spicy Asam Pedas Sauce" recipe!
Ingredients:
500g stingray, cut into medium pieces
3 tbsp tamarind paste mixed with 1 cup of water (strain for tamarind juice)
3 tbsp cooking oil
3 cloves garlic (blend)
5 onions (blend)
3 tbsp cili paste
2 tomatoes, quartered
1 tsp sugar
Salt to taste
2 sprigs Vietnamese coriander
2 Torch Ginger Flower, halved
1 cup water (add more if needed)
Steps:
🔸Heat oil in a pan and sauté blended garlic, onions, and cili paste until fragrant.
🔸Add tamarind juice and water. Bring to a boil.
🔸Add the stingray pieces and tomatoes. Let it simmer until the fish is cooked through.
🔸Add sugar, salt, Vietnamese coriander, and Torch Ginger Flower. Adjust water if needed.
🔸Simmer for a few more minutes until everything is well blended. Serve hot!

AINONS (officially Ainons Cakes & Pastries) is a manufacturer and distributor of frozen ready meals, instant pastes, cakes & pastries, established in the year 1999 by Nor Ainon Saroni and based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
She has lived in the UK for several years where she learnt most of her original European Recipes. She has been sharing her ‘fusion food’ - European food adapted to local taste - since 1999.
Initially starting out as an Accountant, Nor Ainon realized her passion in baking when she attended a friends baking class. With a niche and an opportunity for western food in the Malaysian market, she started baking from home for friends and family, gradually introducing home cooked meals into her forever experimenting menu. She tested and tried all her favourite recipes on her husband and 5 children and developed authentic, healthy and yummy recipes for everyone to enjoy. (And yes, they're still alive!)
She steadily grew her small enterprise until she was able to get a small kiosk in a international school canteen. Taking on production and catering, she seized this moment to share her delicious cooked meals for students and teachers to enjoy, enabling her to gain valuable experience in the F&B Industry. With experience on one hand, and the drive to share on the other, she kick started her venture into manufacturing and distributing delicious ready made meals domestically and internationally.
Ainons founding statement is "Always committed to continuous innovation to create new menus and ideas for improvement, as everyone and anyone should enjoy the best of baking and cooking using the finest ingredients, yet at an easy to make and affordable price." All meals are made without the use of artificial additives or preservatives.
