A look into how this year Fito’s Mother’s Day cakes came together.

We spent time refining something small but important - texture. Not too light, not too rich, just something softer and easier to enjoy.

That’s where the 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗸 𝗣𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 comes in. A quiet layer, but one that changes the whole experience.

We paired it differently for each cake —
Strawberry with Darjeeling, light and elevating the floral tea notes; Mango with oolong, deeper and more rounded.

Same approach, two distinct expressions.

This Christmas, our focus wasn’t on creating something entirely new. Instead, we went back to what we already love, our most familiar, well loved flavours, and think how they could feel a little more festive.

The process took time. We tested, adjusted, and refined small details again and again, not just the flavours, but the textures, balance, and overall experience. From chiffons softness to cream structure, from sweetness level to how each element comes together on the plate, every change was made carefully, with intention.

As always, we stayed true to our core.�• 𝗡𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀.
• 𝗡𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴.�Only natural ingredients, less sweetness, and a focus on balance and comfort, something we can enjoy without feeling overwhelmed.

Rather than reinventing flavours, we chose to give them a Christmas twist: enhancing what’s already there, lifting the aroma, refining the mouthfeel, and dressing them in a festive form while keeping their original character intact. It’s familiar, just a little more special, shaped by the season, but rooted in what we believe in.
