In our first event in a long time, Good Vibes Festival 2023 got cancelled.
Events like these are important to small F&B businesses. For months, we have worked on the planning, purchasing and food preparation for the event. There were significant financial and time investment by every food vendor involved. In events like these, aside from the usual food costs, there are also other investments involved such as logistics, manpower, storage, etc.
To have 2/3 of the event suddenly cancelled is seriously damaging to not only every food vendor's excess stock but to their financial, physical and mental exertions.
As many of you would know, we have recently moved to a temporary cloud kitchen away from a physical store. In doing so, every decision we make has to be calculated carefully as we do not have the resources we once had. This pains us as we see GVF2023 as an important event in our calendar and we have allocated a good portion of our resources to the event.
We are heartbroken and disappointed to say the least. At the same time, we are also very touched by the kind gestures by people simply tagging us on social media or by other event organisers offering a space to us to recuperate.
Right now, we are still planning our next steps hoping to salvage whatever and however we can. Fortunately, the silver lining is that our main product now are meat pies which have been frozen so the pies have a longer shelf life as they have been kept in frozen conditions throughout.
We really appreciate all the support shown and we will update soon on our plans moving forward! ❤️🙏
