Dear customers,

We are sorry to announce that due to circumstances, we had to close our storefront.

Thank you for your support since our soft launch. Even though we were all going through difficult time for past months, we still managed to sell out our freshly baked pasties. This really meant a lot to us and we would never forget how touched we were ☺️

We wont be able to guarantee when we will be coming back to Petaling Street, but when we do we will make an announcement on our Facebook and Instagram, and you will be the first to know 😉

In the meantime, comic strips from time to time featuring our beloved mascots, Kakie, Akie, Yukie, Akilie, Mokie and Okie, specially for you.

Our founder, Mr. Hans, personally goes to his supplier to handpick high-quality pineapples, and cook them for up to 5 hours to create tangy, aromatic pineapple paste. The paste is then mixed with freshly chopped pineapple bits, enfolded in our unique layered pastry crust, and bake to perfection everyday for your indulgence.

Do you know? (Part 1)

Pineapple pastries is a must have during Chinese New Year for Malaysian Chinese, be it pineapple tarts, pineapple shortcakes or pineapple cookies. This is because in Hokkien and Cantonese (Chinese dialects), pineapple is called “Ong/Wong Lai”, which directly translate to “fortune come”.

Therefore, pineapple is often seen as a symbol of wealth and prosperity, and Chinese believe that by having pineapple pastries during Chinese New Year they can invite abundance into their life.
