The Baking Trip Sourdough Kopitiam at Hutan Hutan Day 1 completed in fullest with the wonderful teammates! Specially shoutout to friends that volunteering to help out on this amazing project! Couldn’t have done it any better without them.

Thank you everyone of you who supported us once again who showed up every-time this mean a lot to us 🤎

Tomorrow will be the last day of this wonderful pop up market. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again in person! A warm reminder, there might be some weak network in the woods, so prepare some cash it will be so handy for treasure hunting!

与其大声说爱国，我们更相信，珍惜自己长大的地方、记住那些陪伴我们成长的日常，就是一种最真实的爱国方式。

The Baking Trip 想起，每个人心里，都有一间属于自己的茶室。
那间从小吃到大的茶室，无论长大后走到哪里，回到家乡时，总会忍不住再走进去；又或者，它早已成为每天都会报到的日常。

这一次，我们把 sourdough 带进熟悉的茶室记忆里，让慢发酵遇见属于马来西亚人的味道，把乡愁放进每一口面包。

这个周末，欢迎来到森林里，找我们一起吃一份属于茶室的 sourdough。

This year’s Hutan Hutan celebrates Malaysia’s National Month with the theme, Nostalgia.

Instead of simply saying “I love my country,” we believe that loving the place we grew up, remembering the everyday moments that shaped us, is one of the most genuine ways to show our love for home.

For The Baking Trip, that memory is the neighbourhood kopitiam.

Everyone has one — the coffee shop you grew up with, the place you return to whenever you’re back home, or the one that quietly becomes part of your everyday routine.

This time, we’re bringing sourdough into those familiar kopitiam memories, where slow fermentation meets the comforting flavours we grew up with.

Come find our Kopitiam Sourdough in the forest this weekend.

Bidding Farewell & Thank You 🤍

As every journey continues, today we would like to celebrate two people who have been part of ours.

Thank you, Queenie yenzheng_0214 and Olivia Yi Chin Chen , for being part of The Baking Trip as our Assistant Bakers.

Over the past two years, we’ve shared countless early mornings, busy festive seasons, custom orders, pop-up events, sold-out weekends, challenging days, and many small milestones that have quietly shaped our journey together.

Every baker starts somewhere. Watching someone grow from learning the basics to confidently contributing alongside the team is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. While recipes can be taught, the lessons learned through hands-on experience, teamwork, responsibility, and perseverance are what truly stay with us.

At The Baking Trip, we believe a workplace is more than just a place to work. It’s a place to learn, make mistakes, grow, and prepare for the next chapter wherever that journey may lead.

As Queenie and Olivia begin new adventures, we sincerely thank them for the memories and contributions they’ve made to our bakery.

May you continue to stay curious, keep learning, create with heart, and never lose the joy of doing what you love. We wish both of you all the very best for everything that lies ahead.

Flour is weighed. Dough is folded. Cream is whipped. Sauces are stirred. Loaves are scored. Pastries slowly fill the shelves, one by one.

Day 1 at the market ✨ what a day 🌲

Thank you to everyone who dropped by today. We truly didn’t expect such an overwhelming amount of love and support. Some of you travelled from nearby, some drove from far, and some even came all the way from other states just to visit us , we honestly feel so touched.

Seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones, sharing food and conversations in the middle of the forest, today felt really special.

Thank you for spending your weekend with us, for waiting, for supporting, and for making our first day at 森森森林季 such a meaningful one.

Tomorrow is the last day , if you haven’t visited yet, come find us. We’ll be here with our special market menu, fresh bakes, warm plates, and a little corner to slow down.

A little escape to the forest this weekend 🌿

We’ve specially prepared a market-only menu for 森森森林季 — 野火蔓延时, bringing along comforting plates made to slow you down, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy a softer moment in nature.

Good food, fresh air, trees around, and a slower pace — perhaps this is the little pause we all need.
