More than 40 dog carcasses were reportedly discovered inside black rubbish bags in public waste bins near a market in Batu Pahat, Johor, at around 5pm on 17 August. The discovery has understandably left many people asking the same question: what happened to these dogs? 🐾💔

At this point, their cause of death has not been confirmed. It remains unclear where the dogs came from, how they died, who handled them before their bodies were discarded, or whether they were connected to any stray-management operation.

Rather than jumping to conclusions, what is needed now is a proper and transparent investigation. Calls have been made for the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) to conduct post-mortem examinations to establish the cause of death, while questions have also been raised over whether disposing of so many animal carcasses in public waste bins complied with proper procedures.

The adoption papers weren’t even finished, but Veronica seemed to already know what was happening. 🥹🐾

The one-year-old Labrador mix had been waiting at Walton County Animal Services in Florida for a family of her own.

The shelter captured the moment and shared it online, writing: “You can’t tell us they don’t know when they get adopted… they most certainly do.”

The video quickly touched hearts online, with many wondering if Veronica somehow understood that this time, someone wasn’t just visiting — she was finally going home. 🏡🐶

Maybe dogs don’t understand adoption forms or paperwork. But they understand kindness, attention and the feeling of being chosen.

And for Veronica, after all that waiting, her forever family had finally arrived. 🥹❤️

Another little reminder that somewhere in a shelter, there may be a dog still waiting for their person to walk through the door.

If you’re ever in Penang, don’t miss Dream Journey Cafe! a cosy little café tucked away in Bukit Mertajam that’s perfect for slowing down over a good cup of coffee and delicious food.

Their menu has a great mix of Western and local dishes. We tried the herbal chicken, and it was so tasty! We almost ordered dessert too... but our stomachs said, “Not today!” 😂

🐾 Pet-friendly on Mondays only, so if you’re planning to bring your pets, be sure to visit on a Monday!

The warm atmosphere, friendly service, and relaxing space make it a great spot to catch up with friends or simply enjoy a quiet afternoon.

Not every hero wears a cape. Some simply keep showing up, day after day, for the ones who have no one else. 🐾

Meet Ean Peng Tan, the owner of Klang Rescued Furkids Shelter, who has spent years caring for more than 230 dogs — giving them names, food, and a safe place to call home.

We recently visited the shelter and brought along food and supplies, made possible with the support of our community. ❤️

What we were able to contribute may not go very far, but we believe every little bit helps.

A little more food means a few more full bowls.
A little more support means one less thing to worry about.
And sometimes, knowing that people care is enough to keep someone going.

Please show some love and support to Klang Rescued Furkids Shelter

And this is only the beginning. We’ll be organising more shelter donation drives and bringing the community’s little acts of kindness to more places that truly need the help.

不是每一个英雄都有披风。
有些人，只是日复一日地留下来，照顾那些没有人照顾的生命。🐾

这次，我们来到 Klang Rescued Furkids Shelter 巴生毛孩家园，也认识了这里的负责人 Ean Peng Tan。

她一只一只地把需要帮助的狗狗带回来，为它们取名字、准备食物，也一直努力让这里的 230 多只毛孩能够继续有一个可以安心生活的地方。

这一次，我们也带着大家的一份心意，送来了狗粮和物资。❤️

但老实说，我们能够提供的支持，也只是杯水车薪，可能不足以让他们维持太久。

可是，我们相信——
每一份小小的力量，都可以让一个饭碗多满一点。

也许是一餐，也许是几天，

但更重要的是，让坚持走到今天的他们知道，还有人愿意一起帮忙。

Pet friendly vintage cafe in a huge backyard 🍃🪾

If you’re looking for a pet-friendly café with a huge backyard where your furkids can run freely, this place is a must visit! 🐾
🌿 Spacious outdoor area with a separate pet-friendly entrance
🌳 Super chill and surprisingly not hot even at 3PM thanks to all the trees
🐶 Pets can be off-leash and enjoy the open space
🍽️ Food was delicious and the prices are reasonable too!

What we ordered:
🍛 Balinese Fried Rice — RM17
🍝 Alla Bolognese Spaghetti — RM19
🍗 Cajun Grilled Tender Chicken — RM26
🍵 Jasmine Green Tea — RM8
🍹 Iced Passion Fruit Tea — RM9
