It's okay to leave a toxic marriage. It's okay to start over. And it's more than okay to be a single mother.
She walked away from a marriage marked by adultery and domestic violence. With no clear path ahead, she became a proud single mother to two beautiful children. There was no backup plan—only faith, determination, and the decision to never give up.
The years that followed were filled with pain, uncertainty, and depression. But even in the darkest seasons, she chose to keep moving forward.
In 2018, she found a spark. She started a small home baking business to support her family while being present for every milestone in her children's lives. She wanted to provide for them without missing the precious moments of watching them grow.
For the next two years, she stayed up late researching, learning, and testing recipes. Her goal was simple: to create cakes that could be enjoyed by everyone—from toddlers to the elderly.
Eventually, she found her signature: Bolu Cake. A humble sponge cake that is soft, simple, and made without artificial additives, preservatives, or stabilisers—just honest ingredients and lots of love.
After countless trials, she perfected her recipe. Learning that every detail matters, the right flour, the right temperature, the right eggs, and the right sugar.
Not every day is a good baking day. Some cakes fail. Some days are harder than others. But she continues to show up, give her best, and keep going. Giving up was never an option.
Today, her bakery is more than a business. It is a testimony of God's faithfulness, resilience, and hope.
To every woman reading this, it's okay to start over. It's okay to build a new life. And it's more than okay to be a single mother. The journey isn't easy, balancing motherhood and business never is, but she is still here. Still standing. Still baking.
