MyBakery paricipated and won the " Entrepreneurs For Good " Social Enterprise competition held earlier this year . The new Regional Director of Society East Asia , Jakira Khanam paid a visit to our bakery for a follow up after we were awarded the Entrepreneurs for Good award . Along with her was Clare Walker , Director of Education and Society Malaysia , Joanne Low , Deputy Director of Education and Society Malaysia , Tengku Nadiahtul Tengku Adnan , Programmes Officer and joined by Meeghan Zahorsky , Thoughts in Gear . The visit was a quick overview of our foundation and interactive conversationabout the current dilemma faced particularly by AT RISK YOUTHS . MyBakery yummy goodies were very much enjoyed by our guests . We were applauded for the work we do and the rapid progress of our mission driven social enterprise .

Through this visit , we have strengthen our relations with British Council Malaysia and we look forwad to working with them in the near future .

MyBakery focuses on supporting young people from challenging backgrounds in employment. They offer training in baking - the breads and other baked good they create can be bought at their on site cafe. They even supply bread to many outside market. The MyBakery social business enterprise, managed by CEO Devasharma Gangadaran and is part of the MySkills Foundation.

Both MySkills and MyBakery are community initiatives that are passionate about boosting a person's self-sustenance, by providing them with skills that carry them from education to employment. Brilliant stuff.
