I couldn’t have done it without you — for that, THANK YOU for supporting this humble passion project that began in May 2020, and for seeing us through the early days of the pandemic.

My journey began with the signature Coconut Bun — a local favourite. Two months later, I introduced the Spicy Sardine Bun, much to the delight of sardine lovers. The additions continued with my Sea Salt Chocolate Chip brownie and soon after, I began curating special edition seasonal cakes, and custom-made cakes for events and celebrations, which brought me a lot of joy.

After TWO amazing years, and with a heavy heart, .my is closing its shop in Malaysia. I hope to resume my passion in my next adventure, and when that happens 🤞🏼, I’ll be back on here, sharing more of my culinary creations and journey with you.

Our 2021 Christmas gifting package is here, and this year, we’re going with Gingerbread Cake! 🎄🎄🎄

It has sugar and (house-blended) spices and everything nice in a solid 1.4kg house-shaped cake. We’ve dressed it up with delicious buttercream and a dusting of powdered sugar to make the cake house come alive for the season.

What are your best Merdeka memories?

Mine is definitely waking up to my family, watching the National Day parade on TV while eating roti canai soaked in dhall and curries.

Then we’d drive into town and get in the queue going into Super Kinta parking — one of the very few days in a year when there was actual traffic into malls in Ipoh (in the 80s & 90s). If it’s impossible, and it’s always been impossible, we’d divert to The Store where we get to shop & buy whatever we liked because it’s Merdeka Day Sale.

I’d pick up things like mechanical pencil boxes, scented erasers and letter pads. Basically, fancy stationery. Mom would also get us clothes and shoes and other stuff. Dad would look at his things. We’d go home in a state of bliss. It was better than Christmas shopping, our Merdeka tradition.
