Part 2 - The Plan
The plan was supposed to be simple.
But for someone with absolutely zero experience in construction, interior design, or F&B… it quickly became a crash course in an entirely new world. Suddenly, I was learning about steel bars, plaster walls, cement mixes, counter heights, and lighting angles- details I’d never paid attention to before.
And then there was our biggest challenge: space. Every inch had to work hard. We spent hours figuring out how to fit enough seating to feel welcoming, yet leave room for the team to move with ease. Every corner had to earn its place- both for guests and for the flow of daily operations.
Through it all, the only thing pushing me forward was the vision of a warm, beautiful space that people could truly enjoy. I’m grateful to our contractors and carpenters, who became unexpected teachers — guiding me when I didn’t know where to look and helping turn rough sketches into reality.
Now, when I see people gathered around those seats or watch the team glide behind the counter, it’s a reminder that all the dust, noise, and “one more change” moments were worth it. Every beam, wall, and light still carries a piece of that dream.
