Honor to whom honor deserves:
FLORENZO RIGONI (better known as Father Flor María) is a Catholic missionary of the Scalabrini congregation, he arrived in Mexico in 1985 and founded the first House of Migrants in Tijuana. Later in 1988 the Migrant house Ciudad Juárez. He spent 4 years in Africa in war zones and in peace processes, in collaboration with UNHCR. He returned to Mexico in 1998 and opened the Tapachula Migrant House, where he stayed for 20 years, in mid-2017 he went to Guadalajara, where he replicated the holistic care model. On November 9, 2018, Migrant house Scalabrini/ Village Rainbow School campus Guadalajara takes office and in honor of the great effort and dedication his work is continued in the hands of a group of lay people who throughout 10 years stood shoulder to shoulder with the sensitive mission of following the steps and leaving mark of the great work in the service of the Migrant population with request for refuge and deported Nationals from the United States.
It is worth mentioning that our mentor continues to guide this long-distance mission.
