"What is this green leaf package?"

❓ "Can I eat the leaf?"
❓ "Do I eat it cold or hot?"

🥟 WHAT IS A ZONGZI?

🌿 ZongZi (粽子) is a traditional Chinese delicacy enjoyed during the Dragon Boat Festival.
It consists of glutinous sticky rice, carefully wrapped in natural bamboo leaves and steamed to perfection.

⚠️ The bamboo leaves are NOT eaten.
Simply unwrap and enjoy the rice dumpling inside!

HOW TO EAT YOUR ZONGZI

Enjoy It Hot (RECOMMENDED)

🔥 Microwave Method
• Remove the bamboo leaves. Place on a microwave-safe plate. Heat for 1–2 minutes.
OR
🔥 Steam Method
• Keep wrapped in bamboo leaves. Steam for 10–15 minutes. Carefully unwrap and serve.

Enjoy warm for the best texture and flavor!

🐉🛶 HAPPY DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL 2026 🛶🐉

📅 Friday, 19 June 2026

Join us in celebrating the traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Festival), a cherished cultural event observed on the 5th day of the 5th month of the Chinese lunar calendar.

This special festival commemorates the patriotic poet Qu Yuan and is celebrated with exciting dragon boat races, family gatherings, and the sharing of delicious traditional foods.

🌿 FEATURED FESTIVAL DELICACY 🌿
🥟 ZongZi (粽子) – Traditional sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves and filled with a variety of savory or sweet ingredients.

Dragon Boat Festival is more than a food celebration—it's a time to honor tradition, strengthen family bonds, and wish one another good health, happiness, and prosperity.

🎋 Share the Tradition. Share the Love. Share the ZongZi.

🧧 Why we eat Nian Gao for Chinese New Year

Nian Gao (年糕) is one of the most meaningful treats during Chinese New Year.

Its name sounds like “higher year after year” (年年高升), symbolising growth, progress, and better days ahead.

As families gather to welcome the new year, Nian Gao is shared to wish one another a year filled with good fortune and rising success.

Chinese New Year is coming on 17 February, and we look forward to celebrating together.
