I would like to raise awareness on something important since a while, now.

I get it that, before a big purchase, people need to shop around, ask questions, ask for advice from their spouse, etc. I am a customer, too, for other products and I do shop around, ask questions to seller and advice from my spouse.

When does it get annoying? It is when you are just window shopping and not caring to order anything but do not disclose it. When you are just comparing prices and I am not a right fit for your budget but not confess it. When you already made up your mind with someone else but still wanna confirm you made the right choice choosing someone else.

I am a small entrepreneur and every message I get receives my utmost attention. When you start sharing your ideas, I’m already planning and looking for supplies because yes, I’m a small entrepreneur with no stock in the background ready to deliver the next minute. AND ALSO BECAUSE I CARE ABOUT MAKING YOUR VISION A REALITY.

If my cakes are not your style, if you don’t trust me because you don’t know me, if you’re not genuinely interested, please do not reach out! It’s exhausting to have a chat and usually at odd hours to you finally disappearing or sending me lame excuses like ‘oh, my husband already ordered the cake and I didn’t know’ (I don’t know whose husband does that but ok..), ‘oh, my child changed his mind, he doesn’t want a cake but a macaron’, ‘my cousin proposed do it, now’ or ‘my sister just wrote to me and said she will gift it from another baker’. 😒

There’s nothing wrong in approaching to say ‘hi there, I’m just looking around and wanting to know how much this would cost, please’. No pressure. No expectations! It’s like when you go to a shop and the salesperson asks you if you need anything and you say: ‘ No, I’m just window shopping, thank you.’

I publish enough on FB and more on TikTok and they are all my own products. You can also find reviews from customers who worked with me. Locals, expats and tourists. So, please, if you don’t want to order, please do not reach out. I am grateful that many strangers trusted me and have become repeat customers very quickly.

I wish to bake more cakes. Not entertain empty conversations.

Just realised I’ve been posting less here because I’m more on my TikTok page. You can find me at sweetcinnamon.mu

Here’s to a quick cake for my little one. I don’t use sugar paste but made an exception here. The surprise was truly inside the cake.

This cake made me realise that kids do not care about how flawless a cake is decorated. What matters to them is a hint to their favourite cartoon and lots of sweets. That’s it. The adults just want a tasty cake and they sent their appreciation for that.

While I’m very much inclined to retro cakes and retro styled birthdays , I have noticed the shift also around the world. People are missing old school birthdays with less. And this year, it has been this, for us.
