Kāffi’s story begins in the 1930s, in a small town called Svelvik, Norway, where our great-grandfather first opened a humble bakery.
When he passed, our great-grandmother, fondly known as Besta, and her children continued what he started, preserving not just recipes but a way of life. One built on care, patience and pride in every detail
Those values shaped how we see food today. For us, it’s never just about taste, it’s about intention. From the ingredients we source to the people we work with, every choice reflects that same commitment to quality
Some of the treats you enjoy at Kāffi come directly from those original family recipes. Others are new creationsv where Nordic tradition meets the vibrant flavours of Sri Lanka
But beyond everything, what we carry forward most is the feeling of being welcomed, of sharing something warm and of turning simple moments into meaningful ones.
