Some of you may be aware that these are my last few weeks in Trinidad!

I'm leaving for South Korea to pursue my education. As such this week may be my last week or so in business.

I'm also doing a lot of fundraising to cover my flight costs. In light of this I'm asking that you support me generously and get your coconut cream cakes for the last time before I leave. All orders count and every one is appreciated.

When I started my business I decided I'd only do plastic packaging at extra cost or when found to be most impactful and effective.

I use biodegradable packaging because it's part of my brand culture to be environmentally conscious and to use as little plastic as possible.

I've seen videos of whales filled with rubbish... With turtles having straws pulled out of their noses. Water courses blocked with rubbish.

I refuse to contribute to that.

I made up my mind that as much as is possible plastic packaging will be used sparingly as I conduct my business.

So as my customer know that you will be charged accordingly for plastic because it deviates from the course of the brand I'm building.

Everyone needs to do their bit to safeguard our home. We are the stewards of this planet. It's time we treat it better.
