I almost gave up on dessert tables.

The first one I created was for Christmas. I shared it everywhere, hoping it would lead to enquiries. It didn't.

The following year, I invested even more time, creativity and effort into another one. I was convinced this would be the one that changed everything.

It wasn't.

Then someone mentioned my name in a room I wasn't in.

That recommendation led to a corporate dessert table enquiry. Because the client booked weeks in advance, we had time to plan every detail—from the menu and drinks to the site visit and guest experience.

That project reminded me of something I'll never forget:

Your work isn't wasted just because it isn't immediately rewarded.

Every time you create, you become better. And the better you become, the more valuable your work becomes.
