🌅 El Roi: The God Who Saw Hagar 👁️💧GEN 16:4-15
Her name was Hagar, the Egyptian servant of Sarah. She had fled from mistreatment, carrying pain, confusion, and an unborn child within her.
In the quiet wilderness, under the scorching desert sun ☀️, a weary woman sat by a spring of water—broken, rejected, and alone.
But in that desolate place where no one else saw her tears, God saw her. 🙏
An angel of the Lord appeared and spoke words that changed her forever. He called her by name and revealed a truth so powerful that she exclaimed:
“Thou God seest me.” — Genesis 16:13 (KJV)
That’s when she gave God a name—El Roi, meaning “The God Who Sees Me.” 👑
💫 Even when she felt invisible and unwanted, God’s eyes were on her. He didn’t just see her circumstances—He saw her heart. He gave her direction, promise, and hope for her future and for her son, Ishmael.
This story reminds us that no tear escapes God’s notice. 😢➡️💖
When you feel unseen, unheard, or forgotten, remember: El Roi sees you. He knows your struggles, your loneliness, your silent prayers. You are never invisible to Him. 🌿
So if you find yourself in a wilderness season—trust El Roi. He still meets people beside their “wells” today. He still restores hope to the broken. 🕊️
