Anointed For Function
David

The life of David is one that is very significant especially to believers that have been through different phases of life. When the Father was informed that one of his son's would become King, he never saw David becoming King and therefore never saw it fit to invite him. The father paraded all the other sons and they were all rejected.

When David was anointed because he was the one selected by God, he went back to the same training ground that he was in before. I believe that the killing of the Bear (with a beard) and the Lion (with a beard) happened after he was anointed. He never stopped the training because he was meant to kill Goliath who also had a beard.

Sometimes our training ground and the toughness of the same is directly determined by the giants awaiting in the future. God brings things that have beards along your path because he knows that you must learn how to deal with beards in order to be effective. The biggest misfortune is that most of the times people conquer small battles and announce themselves before their time.

The fact that you are anointed is very important but it does not mean you start looking for giants to slay, it means you sink deeper in training. The training of David did not just bring victory for him but also the entire nation of Israelites. Your victory is not tied to you only but to an entire generation and therefore you cannot afford to mess up.

I pray for you that you will not lose focus of your assignment and that your Anointing will not be your downfall. May the heavens cover you and may the assignment that God has for you protect you. May you have grace to endure the training in order to celebrate the victory.
