Job Summary
The HRO will be responsible for supporting the current and future business needs of Mwanainchi Bakers and Confectioners Ltd through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital at the company.
Human Resources Management:
Perform various administrative tasks (follow-ups, reporting, communications, etc.).
Maintain internal HR policies, procedures, job descriptions and programs.
Ensure that employee files are maintained and in compliance with corporate and legal requirements.
Prepare employee letters or HR documentation as required.
Perform onboarding of new employees.
Assist with the evaluation and performance process.
Compile information and statistics on current operations, document, and update files.
Participate in the administration of the staffing process: job postings, telephone interviews, pre-employment process, onboarding of new employees and preparation of necessary hiring documents;
Performs all other related duties.

Education and Experience;

Human Resources degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

A minimum of Three-Five years’ experience providing administrative or scheduling support, preferably in a fast paced environment.
Valid HR practicing certificate from IHRM Kenya

HR Intern
We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and driven HR intern to assist our HR department with administrative and HR-related tasks. The HR intern’s responsibilities include updating employee absence records, filing HR documents accordingly, initiating background checks on shortlisted candidates, and providing suitable recommendations to improve HR policies. You should also be able to draft employee communications notifying staff of policy and procedural changes.

HR Intern Responsibilities:

Key Duties

viii. Maintain understanding on customer specifications, industry standards & quality systems standards.
ix. Conduct meetings regularly with Ems committee members.
x. System monitoring as required by regulatory ( KEBS)
xi. Regulatory Quality control standards adherence.
xii. Liaison with external Auditors / inspectors to ensure timely renewal of permits and providing samples as and when required.
xiii. Environmental Management System [EMS] Champion. Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
