Weren’t these guava and creme macarons still pretty even though most my natural coloring faded in the oven (not unexpected)? And the flavor was delicioso 😍 with jammy guava center surrounded by creamy white ganache.

Gave some to the hubs to share at work and they went over well 🥳 and the big kid has happily gotten them in his lunch for a few days now. What other South Florida flavors should I play with next while I build out my menus?

Weather is crazy. World is crazy but this cream cheese frosting and carrot cake I made before we left Japan was just yum. Colors with natural line

Today I’m wearing a Zushi Local tee, big corduroy over jacket and fully enjoyed the low of the low 40s since we thought we left the cooler temps behind.

Might need to get some more carrots 🥕

The audio for this clip is from my son’s recital last fall - wait to the end to see as he gets ready to sit and perform. 🥰
Anyone else recognize this piano lesson book? My eldest used it the last portion of his lessons in Japan and now his new school teaches piano during music elective! (But not with this book, that would have been something).

I see imperfections in this trio but sometimes a gift is meant for practice and even if they are rushed they are delicious. Amiright?

Not the right season but still wanted to share this yummy Swiss meringue buttercream cake - grateful a sweet human wanted to surprise their friend from half way around the world with a birthday cake and they thought of me. 🥰 I was lucky enough to make two cakes to surprise people for their birthday last fall and it gave me chills to share the love and honor them on their special days - moms often skip their own bday or downplay it and surprising them with cake makes was a moment where something kinda small felt pretty darn big 💞

Thank you sweet CFAY - although I haven’t been taking many orders the last few months I’ve appreciated the happy moments I’ve been able to be a part of here in Japan.

Rose Macarons is on hiatus professionally/for orders and I’ll update eventually with news 🥹

I plan to try and enter a competition or two this winter season but if I don’t I’ll still post fun updates/adventures to stories.
