The Art of Furoshiki wrapping is simple , yet beautiful and very appealing to the eye, and it preserves these loaves in a very simplistic yet elegant way.

A wholesome sourdough loaf with earthy and nutty tones, and a beautiful glossy and crunchy crust.
It’s name derives from the heirloom (aka heritage) wheat flours we use to hand craft this delight.
Heirloom grains are thought to be the original grains used over 3000 years ago.

This loaf expresses gratitude and pays respect to the original bakers in Mesopotamia that discovered these amazing grains and baked their first ever wild yeasted bread. 🙏

We get one step closer towards creating the best wrapping possible for our sour creations.
A tasteful combination of recycled paper and calico fabric, alongside with our version of furoshiki wrapping in order to keep your loaves fresher for longer, Masa Made packaging offers you the chance to reuse your wrapping for different purposes after you’ve enjoyed your sourdough creation.
Whether you use it to wrap a lunch box for a picnic, a present or your precious treasures, our hand made furoshiki tea towel wraps pretty much anything smaller than an elephant...ok, slightly smaller.
We’re in the process of creating a recipe card to include with our creations, and also instructions on how make your own furoshiki.
We hope you enjoy the concept and help us reduce waste in put beautiful planet 🌍.

White sourdough with a pinch of wholegrain for extra flavour.

This loaf represents the beginning of this company and means so much in terms of hard work , research, fails and wins.

This was the first sourdough loaf I’ve ever baked and it was the loaf that made me want to start Masa Madre.

It’s now part of our signature range and as simple as it sounds, it’s, literally, our bread and butter.
A blend of three amazing flours from NSW, this white sourdough loaf is on our tables for breakfast and brunch on a daily basis.

𝙲𝚊𝚌𝚊𝚘, 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚍 𝚏𝚒𝚐 & 𝚠𝚊𝚕𝚗𝚞𝚝 𝚕𝚘𝚊𝚏.

One of the signature sourdough loaves I bake on a weekly basis.

The journey for this creation begins by crafting a raw cacao sourdough starter using the finest cacao.
In addition, wild figs, semi-dried fruit and walnuts are infused in a blend of sustainably sourced spices, to then be added to the final dough.
48hr later, the result: a heavy loaf, with notes of middle eastern spices, nuts & fruit with a delicate flavour reminiscent of dark chocolate.
A little piece of fermented art.

This chair is becoming a very meaningful tool in the making and selling of bread.
If you picked up bread before from my HQ (home 😂) you would have noticed this lovely chair outside with your order ready to be taken home, sliced, spread with butter and shared with the ones you ♥️.
