From handcrafted wedding cakes to building a Jamaican heritage brand for the global market. 🇯🇲🌎

Before Sage Delights became focused on international growth, Shaun Grant spent years mastering the art of cake — including this three-tiered creation adorned with hundreds of delicate hand-crafted sugar flowers, from tiny roses and hydrangeas to orchids, calla lilies and cabbage tulips in blush and ivory, crowned with a regal 7-inch sphere of sugar flowers.

Today, that same attention to detail is being applied to a much bigger vision.

Following a recent JAMPRO export session, Shaun reflected:

“Same person. Same love for the craft. Just a much bigger vision.”

Yesterday was one of those moments that remind us why we do what we do.

At the official launch of the SBAJ Growth & Resilience Conference, we had the honour of presenting Mrs. Sancia Bennett Templer representative of Senator the Hon. Aubyn Hill, Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, with a Sage Delights Authentic Jamaican Old Time Christmas Cake and our signature Christmas Cake Bites.

As a small Jamaican food brand, it was a proud moment to place a product that represents so much of our journey into the hands of a Minister whose portfolio is focused on industry, investment, and commerce.

What began as a passion for baking has grown into a vision of sharing Jamaican flavours with wider markets through products that celebrate tradition while embracing innovation.

Seeing the Minister's genuine delight upon receiving the gift made the moment even more special.

We are grateful to SBAJ for creating spaces where entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry leaders can connect, and proud to stand among the many Jamaican businesses working to build, innovate, and grow.
