Laws Street Trade Training Centre Home of the Bread Basket This facility was established on 2nd July 1984 with the assistance of the Rotary Club. These are distributed to all the major supermarkets in Kingston & St.

Laws Street Trade Training Centre is a non-profit skills training centre and is registered with the Department of Co-Operatives & Friendly Societies (Charities Act 2013) which exempts us from Income Tax, G.C.T., Property Tax, Stamp Duty, Transfer Tax and Customs Acts. Laws Street Trade Training Centre is located at 1 Laws Street, Kingston, Jamaica in an area known as “Southside” in Central Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. As the name implies this was established as a Skills Training Centre offering courses in Garment Sewing, Hand Embroidery and Home Economics and more recently Introduction Computer (basic in software applications – Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher). The Centre operates a commercial bakery that produces a range of baked products on a daily basis Monday – Friday under the brand BREAD BASKET. Andrew, Portmore and Spanish Town. The sale of these products are used to maintain the overall functions of the various aspects of the Centre and assists with the purchasing of goods that are distributed to the poor and elderly within the surrounding community on a bi-weekly basis.
