You will be so deeply missed at Veranda by both the team and our guests. Your laugh, speedy service, understanding and endless kindness to help out never went unnoticed. You brought such a special energy into the building every single day.

Watching your confidence and character grow over time has been a pleasure for all of us.

Thank you for everything you gave to Veranda. Please stay around — the village and the team won’t feel quite the same without you.

Some cakes are for birthdays.
Some are just because.

Our whole carrot cake works for both.
Feeds up to 15 people and weighs somewhere between a newborn and a toddler.

Made from scratch at Veranda with layers of carrot cake, proper frosting, whole walnuts, and extra care from the team.

We usually need just one day’s notice for whole cake orders. But if you already know you’ll be thinking about it tomorrow… today is probably a good time to order.

Our homemade hashbrowns. They seem to split the room. You either love them, or you’re not quite sure what to make of them.

“Are these right?”
“Are they meant to be like this?”
“Can we get more?”

Made from Jersey potatoes by
No pale, perfect rounds from the freezer — if that’s what you’re after, probably not here.

Ours have the real shape of grated potatoes inside, outside crisp and dark as they should be. A bit uneven, never identical. Because they’re handmade, not manufactured.

Some people come back for them every time.
Some people try them once and don’t look back.

That’s fine with us.
