CGWOAC CHARTER
WHAT: Company-Grade Warrant Officer Advisory Committee (CGWOAC).

WHY: To canvass the company-grade Warrant Officer population and solicit issues that affect the entire company-grade Warrant Officer community. The committee is charged with offering solutions to those issues identified to the USAWOA Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.

WHEN: The committee was established in August 2011 (then known as the Junior Warrant Officer Action Committee [JWOAC]) and remains an active committee throughout the year, communicating via phone or emails.

WHO: WO1s and CW2s selected from each region. CW2s promoted to CW3 or reassigned out of the region in which appointed, will have to step down and allow another WO1 or CW2 to be selected to fill their position. Each officer selected will normally serve a two year commitment. Upon completion of this commitment, it is incumbent upon that Regional Director to find his/her CGWOAC replacement. The committee will have seven members. Each Region may have one member on the committee on a permanent basis with an additional member authorized on a rotating basis distributed among the Regions. The CGWOAC Chairperson will be responsible for tracking this action.

WHERE: The committee is charged with soliciting issues from CONUS and OCONUS. For this committee to be effective, each member will actively pursue all issues that are raised by fellow members. The issues do not have to come from a USAWOA member. Any company-grade Warrant Officer can approach the committee members and air any issues, concerns or recommendations.

Contact your local CGWOAC representative or start a discussion on Warrant Officer Network (WO Net), Company-Grade Warrant Officer Advisory Committee (CGWOAC)

Thanks to CW3 Fryson (915A WOAC FT Lee '16) for sharing this with our class.

What level of Bloom's Taxonomy do you feel the majority of your leaders, peers and subordinates operate within?

Do you think it would be beneficial to teach this as a formal/informal block of instruction within your organization?

The CGWOAC (EUROPE) is seeking Company Grade Warrant Officers that want to improve and sustain the relevancy of our cohort within our units and communities. We are looking to establish open and professional communication amongst the Warrant Officers that make it happen.

Please review and post (ONLY) the most professional and thought provoking information. THIS IS NOT a PROMOTIONAL page; your post will be deleted.

While we are responsible specifically for Europe, I encourage all Warrant Officers, of all rank structures to participate and engage. We will advertise and promote any WO Cohort events taking place in Europe.

We encourage active conversations about issues within your units i.e; evaluations and other HR transactions, technical/MOS specific support, etc.

Again, Please keep all inactions and communications as professional as you would in the work place. This is not a forum for political opinions or individual stances or world events.

Thank you and I look forward to participating in positive and empowering conversation. Standby for information on upcoming Warrant Officer Professional Development (WOPD) events.

01 1300 AUG 17 is the tentative date for our first CGWOAC-E WOPD, to take place on Caserma Del Din, Vicenza, Italy.
