In this tutorial you'll learn how to refresh our beeswax wraps by using an electric oven.

You'll need to repeat this process about every 2-3 months to extend the life of your wraps to up to 1 year.

What you'll need:
1. baking tray
2. parchment paper
3. your old beeswax wraps
4. an electric oven

Why refresh your wraps?

turn them into like new wraps. it also removes the creases and makes them sticky again.

You can also follow this process if you've accidentally washed them in hot water or scrubbed them too hard.

🎙Morning ladies and gents, it's plastic-free July ya'll 🥳. If you've never heard of the global movement, you can learn more by going to their profile .

In a 🌰shell, you participate by using less single-use plastic.

You might be thinking 🤔 that's impossible because it's everywhere, and that is true. But do not feel defeated. It's actually easier than you think💪!

Using less single-use use plastic can look like:

-eat more plant based meals a week (reduce your meat and fish intake from 7 days a week to 4-5 days)
-buy unpackaged produce
-use reusable produce bags or cotton bags
- invest in clothes made from natural fibres like organic cotton, linen, h**p, silk (& take care of them)
- go thrifting
-buy cloth diapers instead of pampers
- buy in bulk at your local Zero Waste Stores/ Bulk Barn/refill shops
-shop at your local farmer's markets
- choose soap bars over body wash
-shampoo bars/refill shops
-reusable food containers & water bottles (yup even plastic is fine)
- beeswax food wraps 😏

Back in my natural habitat❤. In my case, the kitchen island is where I work, play and daydream. It's also the room where we get the most ☀️ natural light (who doesn't love that😍?) When we decided to renovate our apartment we wanted a kitchen that reflected our personalities (haha maybe mine more than gabriele's 😜) a punch of colour, neutrals, earthy accents, simple and inviting.

It feels good to be home 🏠.

TGIF! Ya'll have no idea how🥳 excited we are (Gabriele is packing as we speak and I'm writing this caption 😳 and not helping 🙄😬 so I'll make it quick). We are going to have a spa💆‍♀️💆‍♂️ day tomorrow and leaving Tom with his nonni overnight (I have mixed feelings about this🍹💔💃) so we will be baby-free, dog-free and rabbit-free. It's taken 14months and damn I need a day off.

So, just curious how long did you wait til you spent a night away from your kids?

We all depend on the survival of bees

Bees and other pollinators, such as butterflies, bats and hummingbirds, are increasingly under threat from human activities.

Pollination is, however, a fundamental process for the survival of our ecosystems. Nearly 90% of the world’s wild flowering plant species depend, entirely, or at least in part, on animal pollination, along with more than 75% of the world’s food crops and 35% of global agricultural land. Not only do pollinators contribute directly to food security, but they are key to conserving biodiversity.

What we can do Individually:

plant a diverse set of native plants, which flower at different times of the year;

buying raw honey from local farmers;

buying products from sustainable agricultural practices;

avoiding pesticides, fungicides or herbicides in our gardens;

protecting wild bee colonies when possible;

sponsoring a hive;

making a bee water fountain by leaving a water bowl outside;

helping sustaining forest ecosystems;

raising awareness around us by sharing this information within our communities and networks; The decline of bees affects us all!
