Our Story

The Company Petris Vinicio in Moggio Udinese, established by my grandfather in the 1930's, is now in its3rd generation with 80 years of activity.

The devastating earthquake which hit Friuli Venezia Giulia region in 1976, caused serious damage to the company. We lost the local bakery and our house and the production stopped for 18 months whilst we waited for a prefab to be built that would get us started again.

The bakery started producing breadsticks in the 60’s and 70’s. Since then we have continued the expansion of the product with the introduction of new types, shapes, and flavours. Recently we successfully started producing handmade biscuits. Our distribution channel is through our wholesale dealers in Northern Italy, and we export to neighbouring countries including Austria, Slovenia, Germany and the Czech Republic.

In the early years, our products were made with a small bench machine and a lot of manual skill before moving to more advanced machines. New technology has speeded up and increased the demand for larger production. Our latest investment was the purchase of an automated line and the installation of two additional rotary ovens to optimise the baking process.
