Una piccola novità che guarda lontano 🍇🥂

Da questo Pinot Nero 2026 nascerà la mia prima Alta Langa.

Solo mille bottiglie, un progetto piccolo nei numeri ma importante per la cantina. Ora siamo all’inizio: c’è l’uva, c’è un’idea precisa e poi ci sarà il tempo, ingrediente fondamentale di ogni Metodo Classico.

Per assaggiarlo bisognerà aspettare. Ma le cose belle, in fondo, cominciano spesso così.

This 2026 Pinot Noir will become my very first Alta Langa.

Just one thousand bottles: a small project in terms of numbers, but an important one for the winery. We’re only at the beginning: there are the grapes, a clear idea, and then there will be time, the essential ingredient in every Traditional Method sparkling wine.

We’ll have to wait before we can taste it. But good things, after all, often begin this way.

Ogni vendemmia penso di conoscerla già.
Poi arriva, e ogni volta è diversa.
Cambiano l'uva, il tempo, le preoccupazioni. Cambiamo anche noi. Ma c'è un momento, quando cammino tra queste vigne e la raccolta si avvicina, in cui ritrovo sempre la stessa sensazione.
Quella di essere esattamente dove voglio essere.
La vendemmia è vicina 🍇

Then it arrives, and every time it’s different.
The grapes change, the weather changes, the worries change. We change too.
But there’s a moment, when I walk through these vineyards and harvest is getting closer, when I always find the same feeling again.
The feeling of being exactly where I want to be.

Quando pianti una nuova vigna, devi avere fiducia.

Nella terra, nelle stagioni che verranno e nel lavoro che ancora non puoi vedere.

Queste barbatelle di Gamba di Pernice sono piccole, ma per me rappresentano un progetto grande: continuare a investire qui, a Calosso, e credere che questa terra abbia ancora molto da raccontare.

Una vigna nuova è sempre un pensiero rivolto al futuro 🌱

When you plant a new vineyard, you have to have faith.

Faith in the land, in the seasons to come, and in the work whose results you cannot yet see.

These young Gamba di Pernice vines may be small, but to me they represent something much bigger: continuing to invest here in Calosso and believing that this land still has so much to tell.

A new vineyard is always a thought turned towards the future 🌱

La terra ha un modo tutto suo di insegnare a invecchiare: non toglie entusiasmo, aggiunge radici.
Se oggi a 50 anni, sorrido così, è grazie alle persone che hanno camminato con me e a questa vigna che, anno dopo anno, continua a sorprendermi.

The land has its own way of teaching us how to grow older: it doesn't take away our enthusiasm, it gives us deeper roots.
If I'm smiling like this at 50, it's thanks to the people who have walked this journey with me and to this vineyard, which continues to surprise me year after year.

Grazie a tutti quelli che hanno partecipato a Rodotiglia, Notte di Luna & C: è stato un piacere ritrovarsi attorno a un calice, condividere il nostro vino, fare due chiacchiere e respirare insieme l'atmosfera di questo luogo.

Un grazie a miei colleghi produttori, ai volontari e a tutti gli ospiti che hanno reso speciale la serata.

Con il caldo di questi giorni la vigna cambia ritmo.
Ogni pianta reagisce a modo suo e chi la coltiva deve imparare a osservare, capire e intervenire solo quando serve 🌿☀️

🚶🍇 Camminata agricola, merenda sinoira e vini felici

Vi porto a fare due passi tra i miei vigneti biologici tra Langa e Monferrato. Vi racconto come lavoriamo, perché facciamo certe scelte e cosa succede in vigna durante l'anno.
Se siamo fortunati incontriamo anche Giorgio, che di vendemmie ne ha viste 85 e ha sempre qualcosa da dire.
Poi si va in cantina e si finisce come piace a noi: con una merenda sinoira e qualche bicchiere di vino.

🚶🍇 Farm Walk, Traditional Merenda Sinoira & Happy Wines

Join me for a walk through my organic vineyards between the hills of Langhe and Monferrato. I'll tell you how we work, why we make certain choices, and what happens in the vineyard throughout the year.
If we're lucky, we'll also meet Giorgio, who has witnessed 85 harvests and always has a story or two to share.
Then we'll head to the winery and finish the way we like best: with a traditional merenda sinoira and a few glasses of wine.
