Strawberry shortcake smash cake 2 ways~

Which do you like better?

I wanted to practice my daughters 1 year smash cake but I can’t decide which one to use for her photos.

The cake itself is very moist with a small amount of strawberry juice used to make it more flavorful. Fresh Strawberries and a light cream cheese frosting, I’m sure my daughter will be eager to dig in 😊

Blueberry protein muffins with raspberry swirl 😍

I love walking out and picking our own berries to bring these amazing breakfast muffins. Blueberry muffins are also my husbands favorite thing in the world besides spaghetti. But I have to dress them up and make them better because after this long they get boring 😂

Thicccc chocolate chip pecan cookies

These are extremely soft and decadent! With lots of chocolate chips and a hint of maple with the crunchiness of mammoth pecans. These incredible cookies dipped in milk....a perfect match made in heaven 😍 excuse the heavy breathing of my child in the video 😂👧🏻

Peanut butter and jelly pancake bread~

Everything you love about pancakes but no mess. The sweet and salty flavor of PBJ in a baked bread. So good! We also used our elderflower syrup on our pancakes!

Elderflower syrup~

After steeping my flowers in water for 48 hours I strained the flowers into a pot. I mixed in the juice of 2 lemons, 4 cups water, and 2 lbs sugar. I heated the mixture until clear and then poured into clean jars.

I’m excited to try this! The flower itself has many benefits including antiseptic and anti inflammatory properties. People often use it for colds/flu viruses.

I personally will be trying it in a Hugo spritz. The syrup, ice, mint leaves, lime, and chilled Prosecco 😋

Baklava cheesecake~

Sweet and nutty cheesecake made to capture the favorite taste of baklava. I had my first taste of baklava at a large market last year and I fell in love. Definitely a cheat day sweet 😊

Elderflower syrup~

“In the making”

First we will gather a large bundle of elderflower to slow infuse tea over 2 days. Then we will take that and mix with lemons and sugar and reduce on the stove to make a syrup. This syrup is great with soda water or a Hugo cocktail. A European delicacy 😊

Homemade salsa~

This is the best salsa that I have ever made. I continually use this recipe. And in the summers we use all home garden ingredients. We love ours blended down without chunks. Delicious!
