🍎 Today in Russia we celebrate Apple Spas! 🍎
Apple Spas is a beautiful traditional Russian celebration connected with the apple harvest and the Orthodox Feast of the Transfiguration.
For generations, this day has been associated with ripe apples, the end of summer, family gatherings and delicious homemade treats. ❤️
And Russians certainly know how to turn apples into something wonderful! 😊
At ANNUSHKA Russian Bakery, apples are also very special to us. We use them to make some of our favourite traditional treats:
🍏 Sharlotka — a soft and fragrant Russian apple cake
🥧 Homemade apple pies
🌸 Zefir — our light and airy Russian dessert, traditionally made with fruit purée
