A few weeks ago, a mysterious new food outlet popped up in the mall—right under ( or rather above) our noses. Naturally, curiosity began to simmer in our store faster than a pressure cooker on high.

Whispers flew. What do they serve? Is it spicy? Is it sushi? Is it... dessert pretending to be dinner? We had questions. So, being the responsible, totally-not-nosing-around business neighbors that we are, we made a team decision - investigative lunch. (Also known as: "We're closed on Thursdays anyway.")

We took the staff, shut off our ‘customer service smiles’ for the afternoon, and marched to the other side of the counter. It’s important for the team to experience life from *the other side*—where you *are* the customer, your only job is to eat, and your biggest complaint is that your iced tea isn’t lemony enough.

The food? Delicious. The cuisine? Something we couldn’t quite pronounce but were happy to chew anyway. There were flavors and textures doing a full dance routine on everyone’s taste buds.

All in all, a memorable afternoon. Good food, great laughs, and zero dishes to wash.

This Chivas Regal bottle cake was crafted with love for our Dad’s 89th birthday. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the things he loved—his favorite drink, his signature color, and the dishes that made him smile. It was our way of saying, *“You're always with us.”*
