🎂✨ BAKING TIP FOR BEGINNERS!

Before putting your cake into the oven, gently tap the filled cake tin 2–3 times on the counter.

This helps release large air bubbles and gives your cake a more even texture. 💕

⚠️ Don’t tap too hard—you don’t want to knock out all the air from your batter!

✨ BAKING TIP OF THE DAY! 🎂

Always sift your dry ingredients twice before making your cake! 👩‍🍳

Sifting helps remove lumps and distributes flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda more evenly. This can give your cake a smoother, lighter and more uniform texture. 🤎

💡 Especially helpful when baking eggless and chocolate cakes!

🍫 Eggless Chocolate Swiss Roll

Ingredients:

* 100 g all-purpose flour (maida)
* 20 g cocoa powder
* 100 g powdered sugar
* 1 tsp baking powder
* ½ tsp baking soda
* ¼ tsp salt
* 120 g thick curd
* 50 ml oil
* 1 tsp vanilla essence
* 80 ml hot water
* 1 tsp instant coffee

For the Filling:

* 250–300 ml whipping cream
* 1–2 tbsp powdered sugar (if using unsweetened cream)
* ½ tsp vanilla essence
* 2–3 tbsp chocolate chips or Oreo crumbs (optional)

Method:

1. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
2. Whisk curd and powdered sugar until smooth.
3. Add oil and vanilla essence and mix well.
4. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients.
5. Dissolve coffee in hot water and gradually add it to the batter. Mix until smooth.
6. Spread the batter evenly in a lined 10×15-inch baking tray.
7. Bake at 160°C in a preheated OTG with convection for 12–16 minutes.
8. Do not overbake. Remove and let it cool slightly.
9. While still warm, roll the sponge with the parchment paper and let it cool completely.
10. Unroll, spread whipped cream evenly and sprinkle chocolate chips/Oreo crumbs.
11. Roll it tightly again and refrigerate for 1–2 hours.
12. Cover with whipped cream, drizzle with chocolate and decorate with chocolate chips.
13. Slice and serve! 🍫🤍

Tip: Do not overbake the sponge—this is the key to getting a soft, flexible Swiss roll without cracks.
