Just because it’s never been done, doesn’t mean we can’t do it! After our bespoke catering gathered some great response over the last 1.5 years we wanted to take things up a notch. Staying true to our identify and what really makes us tick we decided to make a menu for people with different dietary preferences. Weeks of trials, procurement, costing later we had a menu but then reality hit. How do we promote it? Where do we get our first order from? On some level we are sure we manifested it when a patron who usually gets gluten-free and vegan desserts from us tried their luck to get us to cater a small event for them- the timing was just right and we said yes before they could finish asking.
Tart’s, sliders, croquettes, salads and desserts- we pulled off a whole menu and most of their guests couldn’t even tell what’s different- which is the reaction we always aim for.
