Still not over this one… ✨
6 months later, and this magnificent carnival cake still feels surreal.
Around this time last year, I got an invite from the team to create a showstopper… and what unfolded was beyond what I had imagined. ❤️
The theme was Carnival, but my heart led me to something closer — an Indian mela.
A place filled with nostalgia, colors, chaos, and childhood memories.
Every tiny element you see here was created with intention and love —
from the dancing camel 🐪 to the puppet show,
the old Bollywood bioscope 🎥,
street hawkers, shopping scenes,
a merry-go-round,
and yes… a working giant wheel 🎡
This beauty stood nearly 6 feet tall and took 3 months of pure passion, patience, and madness to bring to life.
And honestly… the journey wasn’t easy at all.
There was a point where I had almost given up on my giant wheel — the inbuilt motors suddenly stopped working.
But then came some last-minute jugaad… and magic happened. ✨
To my surprise, not just the giant wheel, but even the bioscope and merry-go-round — all three working elements ran smoothly for 2 continuous days, and the batteries didn’t even drain out.
That moment felt unreal… like the universe saying, “All your hard work paid off.” ❤️
It’s more than a cake… it’s a feeling every Indian can relate to.
