Presenting our first Collaboration Cake .
Based on Handicrafts of India theme.

About my collab piece: "Maha" Rashtra" literally meaning Huge State, has a vast Handicraft Heritage.
My Art depicts this Typical " Assal Marathi" Couture.
A majestic Paithani Saree with a signature peacock pallu and rustic jewellery makes the perfect base.
A traditional Paithani is made from mulberry silk and is still hand woven in some parts of Paithan region . A paithani saree is considered a priced possession in a marathi wardrobe.
Kolhapuri Chappal dates back to 13th century. Rustic Kolhapuri chappal is suitable for all weather, made with pure leather it is processed in natural vegetable dyes. They are hand stitched without the use of nails and have a signature design and shape. Made in rustic dark tan shade, I have tried replicating all the traditional aspects of kolhapuri chappal on my cake.
Nagpur , a central city of India boasts of an eclectic collection of wrought iron handicrafts. Black shadow figures with bright colors is the signature style of iron handicrafts. Tribal couple over a turquoise background gives a perfect ode to this art.
And finally the Black and Silver Paisley topper is traditional Bidri ware from the city of Aurangabad. Originating in the Mughal era, this beautiful art is still alive thanks to the local artisans
