The weather in Mumbai is not so favorable for the cake artists. During monsoons, when the sugar paste literally turns into a paste in your hands, it becomes difficult to create a simple fondant art.

And then I discovered Modex. Thank you for creating Modex. It makes the work so much easier and better.

Loved making this Ghostbusters themed cake, and the kids enjoyed gobbling up this 100% edible thing.

So, yesterday was 4th of May, and it was the day of the launch of limited edition Fossil and Star Wars special collection of watches and jewelry. The event was grand, with quite a few dignitaries and celebrities attending.

The Cinnamon Tree is proud to be part of this event. We provided cupcakes for the event. Three flavours - chocolate, caramel and almond praline. Each one packed individually.
We were selected on the parameters of taste and presentation.
The last couple of days were super hectic. Will share some behind the scene pics later on.
I am super happy. 🙃

Cakemaking makes us go through many kinds of emotions. Sometimes it makes us feel so humbled and honoured.

The cake in picture was commissioned by a lady for her husband, who was part of a selected group of 75 runners, attempting to set the Guinness Record for the HIGHEST FROZEN LAKE HALF MARATHON. The marathon was organised by ASFL along with the government at the PANGONG LAKE located at an altitude of 14000 feet with temperatures in the range of -8 to -15 degrees, when the lake completely freezes. They completed the race and the entry into the world records for the event was also confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records!!
This surely needed a celebration.

I have tried to bring few of the things to life - the lake, the location, the finisher medal, the finishing gate, the Guinness record , the shoes with specs of snow and a bicycle ( because he loves cycling too).
All edible.
