Once again I gave a makeover to a teacake since the client didn’t want a cream cake yet something designer!

Mother’s Day cake ! When you want to gift flowers and a cake we can do both in one cake !
Tried piping flowers after a long time … this is when I realised my hands are in a bad condition and a doctors visit is long overdue. I have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel years back with surgery advised but I have been conveniently ignoring it and going on with my regular activities only to realise my hands are in a bad shape now . It took me over an hour just to pipe these flowers . It was real struggle with my hand getting numb every few minutes followed by pain in the entire hand the next day. The outcome would have been better but at this point I was just happy to have completed the cake !

Making this since we don’t get to make traditional designs anymore…. It’s all either themed or customised . I believe the original ones can beat any designer cake if the recipe is right ! Inside it was filled with homemade Cherry compote and generous amount of chocolate shavings.
