Grateful for the year this has been .. and what a year it has!!

Throwback to my last cake before this rather long baking break - it was trying but I baked my own baby shower cake as I wouldn’t have it otherwise for all my near and dear ones who came by to join in the celebrations.

Our family grew and our hearts got full so taking this time to spend with my little bundles of joy and here’s hoping I can soon return to the love that you have showered me with.

Ps: I have been disappointing a lot of people who have reached out to me endlessly these past months. I shall be back to the joy of baking, real soon!

The joy of baking for friends and family is that they will always give you a chance to push your boundaries and be willing to experiment with you!

Sponge made with brown sugar and filled with dry fruits like dates, black current, almond, apricot etc and frosted with smb, my first attempt at an embroidery cake with piped 3D flowers.
