There's only so much trauma the human mind is capable of processing. After that, there's the risk of becoming inured to it, or succumbing to a sort of silent, wide-eyed madness. I've always found respite in purpose, hence the fervent vacuuming, cleaning, put things away. Happy to have been able to bake this summery show of affection for one of my favourite people.
