Life has come full circle. Excited and pleased to announce that next week I'll be conducting a workshop on eggless baking at my alma mater Vidyashram's cultural centre,

5 days of deep diving into cookies, breads, brownies, cheesecakes, layered cakes and teacakes - all eggless. We'll be covering basic recipes, understanding the science behind eggless baking and learning a few foundational baking and pastry techniques.

It's open to women and kids (above 12 years of age), to register or for additional details contact 7424887391.

Classes start Monday morning, still plenty of time to begin your baking journey, I promise it's worth it!

You've shown my sheer khurma enormous love and the kunafa is having a bit of a culinary moment. Bringing the best of both worlds together in my sheer khurma kunafa - sweet crunchy kataifi encasing a layer of fragrant sheer khurma, all doused in a rose water syrup.

Diwali means going off diets, forgetting the gym and gorging on mithai. But let's do something different and make the mithai Better Call Shireen style!

These pink balls of joy have gotten me so many good reviews that I cannot envision Diwali without them. So, the first offering is my coconut and raspberry laddoos - milky coconutty laddoos stuffed with tangy raspberry compote.

Ricotta is great, fresh homemade ricotta is better. The rich, barely set curds would, I thought, make great kalakand and my instinct wasn't wrong. I love the creaminess of custard apple and it marries wonderfully with mascarpone. My second offering of the season is a ricotta custard apple kalakand topped with mascarpone mousse and a crunchy nutmeg crumble - because when it comes to desserts, texture is everything.

Why overlook chocolate and the quintessential ingredient for mithai, mawa. I also bring you chocolate mawa squares - buttery chocolate shortbread baked with mawa frangipane, layered with mawa chocolate cream and dusted with cocoa powder.

Diwali and kaju katli go hand in hand but how many kaju katlis can one eat? Try my honey cashew crunch cake - dense cashew marzipan pound cake with a hint of elaichi and lots of crunchy cashew honey praline, since it's inspired by kaju katli it needs to have chandi ka varq, doesn't it?

And, it comes in a beautiful reusable tin!

Father's Day Nostalgic Specials

The moodboard for my Father's Day menu was quite simple: classic, no fuss, old school flavours served with a dose of nostalgia. Flavours dads would instantly recognise, appreciate and look forward to eating.

So I've come up with two specially curated boxes.

The sweet box with classics such as:

• Blackforest (a flavour, to my surprise, I've never made before)
• Pineapple (good old pineapple pastry)
• Tiramisu (I know it's burning outside but my experience says dads like their Old Monk)

And the savoury box with:

• Roasted tomato and basil ricotta danish
• Spicy mushroom and cheese danish

Since I got caught up in a whirlwind of other things (trials, logistics and a super fun shoot with and as a food stylist) I got little to no time to curate, as I was hoping to, an elaborate Easter feast but I can't let the day just fly by. The menu is short and sweet but full of deliciousness.
