Our Story
They say, if itβs your βBiggest Problemβ, no one can solve it better than You. Our story began back in 1963, when Mr. Kedar Nath Mehrotra, who was a big foodie himself, didnβt have any options of eating out in his city. He opened a small food outlet, called Bobiβs Snacks Bar, in the heart of Golghar and decided to serve the people of the city by introducing dishes and cuisines no one had heard of. Come 1965, the outlet was shifted to a bigger location in order to cater to the increasing demand of the city and thatβs how Bobiβs Restaurant came into existence. An in-house bakery was introduced in 1966, the very first in Gorakhpur. Pineapple pastries were introduced and became an instant hit; they are till date a premium product for the brand. Chinese cuisine was introduced in the year 1968. The city fell in love with the authentic flavours and weβve kept our recipes the same till date. 1984 was the year when his younger son, Mr. Atul Mehrotra, joined the business. He set up an Ice cream parlour and soon expanded the bakery and business largely. He took the Outdoor Catering Business to itβs full potential. Even today, Bobis is known to provide state of the art catering services in Gorakhpur. Now in its third generation, the family business is being expanded and other verticals are being looked at.
