BAKING CONNECTS

One of the perks of being a baker is to the ability to put a smile on the face of people for whom you bake. My cakes have been part of happy moments in their lives and I feel blessed when people send notes of appreciation in recognition of my efforts.
These small gestures help me to move forward.
A few weeks ago a client of mine had ordered some cookies and I had casually mentioned about a particular sweet that was available in her hometown as I knew she would be visiting her hometown. A week later she came to my house with a box of that particular sweet about which I had just casually mentioned to her.
I was overwhelmed by her gesture and I felt that through my baking I was able to make heartfelt connections with people.
