2016...the last few hours before it ushers a new year! A year of hopes and expectations, of fulfilment and contentment willing each one of us to give it our best.
It has been ever so long since I posted on this page. It has been more than a year since I moved to Bangalore...time flies fast!
Today before this year ends I'd like to leave you with what is the first of the baking that I've done in Bangalore 😊 and yes, I'm happpppyyyyy. It feels so good to have baked something at last in the city full of bakers n bakeries.
The one thing I'm missing here when I took the pic was the ambience of my home in Delhi, the props that were just around in the house n the DSLR.
But whatever said n done, at least one post before the year 2016 says 👋

Inactivity on a FB page is not necessarily a 'sign' of inactiveness!!!
Some of the interesting things that are being experimented in the Kitchen of Baked with Love are quite in tune for the upcoming summer months...well, you guessed it right! Did you?
ICE CREAMS
Slurrppp and lick...beat the heat...
So what is so unusual about the Icy Treats??
One, never tasted these flavours earlier;
Second, obviously is that I have never tried to attempt these flavours before;
Third, people I know have never tasted these flavours earlier.

So, people who are reading this post - A sincere request that if you have had these flavours anywhere across the Globe please leave a mention. Thanks in advance.

Now after all the gibber-gabber what are the flavours we are talking about...

Starting with the flavour that has been attempted with fair success :

'Tad Gur or Khajur Gur IceCream' -
For those who are not aware, it is also called Date Palm Jaggery derived from the Date Palm trees. It is a speciality from Bengal used to make the famous Sandesh, Misthi Doi, Kada Pak and other such gorgeously delicious sweets.

Made a 5 year old happy, so happy that she was all shy and just couldn't wait to decorate her own cake...!!!

Dia, cute lil gurl who loves pink(all girls do, don't they) is a Celiac who is also allergic to egg-yolks. It is a tough one on her and her parents. It was her birthday on 14th November and I was approached by Foodbury's Arti Kothari to do a 'pink' cake for the lil one.

At Baked with Love it is a compulsion to bake with love and that is what was done...and the result was an overwhelmed kiddo who could not express her happiness in words awarded me with a tight hug

A Diwali gift for all of you who like the page and follow it:

The ingredient list for Brownies.......

2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Dutch Cocoa Powder
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1/4 Tsp Salt
1 Cup Sugar
100 gms Melted Dark Chocolate
1/3 Cup Oil
1 and 1/2 Tbsp Coffee Granules
Hot water
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Walnuts to top the Brownie

Wondering what to do???? I leave it up to you to get going and baking ;)

Made a Walnut Choco Truffle Cake from start to finish in flat 2 and half hours, give or take 15mins!!!!!!!!!!!!
